Albuquerque, NM — Governor Susana Martinez today launched her second English language television commercial for her re-election campaign titled, “Cares.”

The commercial highlights Governor Martinez’s record of working across party lines to help communities during tough times, including floods, fires, droughts and freezes. Two Democratic mayors are featured in the ad and praise Governor Martinez for fighting for their communities when they needed it most.

Current Democratic Mayor Alfonso Ortiz of Las Vegas and former Democratic Mayor Darren Cordova of Taos are featured in the ad. Cordova is also well-known throughout New Mexico as a Spanish music singer, whose band, Darren Cordova y Calor, won the New Mexico Hispano Music Awards Association Band of the Year.

“While our opponents continue to run shrill, negative campaigns focused on personal attacks and dividing New Mexicans, Governor Martinez is running a hopeful and optimistic campaign that highlights her record fighting for her fellow citizens,” campaign spokesman Chris Sanchez said.

The commercial will be running statewide on broadcast and cable.
